Why should you bring your child to a dentist with experience in treating patients with special needs? At Sprout Pediatric Dentistry, it’s because we offer…
When you call our Boise pediatric dental office for the first time, be sure to let us know of any special accommodations that may need to be made. We’ll work closely with you to schedule the appointment at a time where your child tends to be most relaxed (usually first thing in the morning.)
If it helps, you can visit our office to take your child on a “tour” and meet the staff before the actual day of the appointment.
The more information you share with us, the better we can serve your family. You know your son or daughter better than anyone else. As our dentist and staff listen to this information, we are able to adapt the way we care for your child in a way that’s as positive of an experience as possible.
Some of the patients that our dentist sees are children with:
…Among many, many others
While a traditional family office is restricted by time and the equipment on hand, our pediatric dental facility is designed in a way that accommodates a greater level of flexibility. From the amount of space — for strollers or wheelchairs — to how our appointments are scheduled, your visit with us should be one that’s enjoyable for everyone.
We know that being a special needs parent is sometimes exhausting. The number of specialty visits, therapy appointments, or other services tend to fill up the calendar in the blink of an eye. While some parents feel that dental care is something that might be ok to skip over, the health of your child’s teeth and gums can significantly impact their overall level of wellness. In some cases, your child’s special needs may make them even more prone to dental problems or emergencies.
By seeing your child on a regular basis, we can take steps to intercept developing oral conditions that have the potential to cause bigger problems later on. Issues like abscessed teeth, broken teeth, bleeding gums, or rampant tooth decay can often be avoided.
Our team will show you modified ways to help your child limit his or her susceptibility of developing common oral problems seen in children with special needs.
